When I first came to Shetland it was to fufill a dream of running my own restaurant and hotel, which I did for 18 years. During my time at Burrastow I used my knowledge of and passion for quality food to write a cookery book and articles for a local magazine. I also trained other young professionals in the hospitality industry and gave horticulturalists a place to expand their skills. Since selling the hotel I have had the excitements of a portable deli and a deli/cafe called 'The Olive Tree' serving a wide range of quality food products, homemade cakes, salads, sandwiches, soups and excellent coffee.
Henry and I have worked together for many years and enjoy meeting new people. We would like to welcome people to our lovely home to share in a taste of Shetland.
The House is situated on a working croft/farm, there is a working dog who has now joined us in the house as he is elderly and in need of more creature comforts.
